Most days you forget.
There is always so much to do & before you know it you are busy doing the countless everyday things
that make your life narrow
But if you remember
to look out the window, up & over the roofs, beyond the rows of neatly manicured lawns & suburban hedges
there they are:
higher than houses & older still
Just looking at them
releases air into your chest & suddenly you can breathe again.
You did not realise how tense & small & cramped you were until you remembered to look
